The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) announces the conclusion of an investigation that resulted in an NRC-contracted radiopharmaceutical company paying $350,000 to resolve False Claims Act allegations concerning its subsidiaries falsely obtaining NRC fee reductions. Consistent with the False Claims Act, a substantial portion of the settlement amount will be provided to the agency to compensate it for its loss of annual fees.
